Masse Semiplastiche da Pestello

We manufacture & supply refractory ramming mass (refractory ramming mixes) according to customer requirement.

Refractory ramming mass is produced by using ramming method during construction from refractory aggregate (fire clay based, high alumina based, mullite-corundum based, silica based, magnesia based, carborundum based) and powder, binders (phosphoric acid and phosphates, sodium silicate, aluminum sulfate, binding clays and organic binders) and additives proportionally. Different kinds of ramming mixes are available upon the customer's request.

Dry Ramming Mass

Dry ramming mass is mainly used for cast iron, copper-aluminum alloy, low alloy steel, stainless steel, high manganese steel, high alloy steel, carbon steel, high manganese steel, manganese alloy and many other metal smelting furnaces.

  • Good resistant to thermal shock
  • Good resistant to corrosion
  • Good resistant to erosion
  • High refractoriness
  • Excellent mechanical strength
  • Reduce residue and porosity of metal products
  • Long service life

AZS Ramming Mass

High quality bonded refractory AZS ramming mass for refractory blocks used for glass furnaces in under bottom paving, spreading, melting end,  working area and the joint between bricks of two layers.

  • Good thermal conductivity
  • High refractoriness
  • Excellent mechanical strength
  • Excellent resistance to thermal shock
  • Good volume stability at high temperature
  • Excellent resistance to erosion
  • Good resistance to slag
  • Short bonding time
  • Long service life

SiC Ramming Mass

SiC Refractory Ramming Mass mainly used for filling in the cooling wall between and above hearth of blast furnaces.

  • High-density
  • Thermal shock resistance
  • High-strength
  • Strong permeability of molten steel resistance
  • High melting loss resistance
  • Good wear resistance

High Alumina Refractory Ramming Mass

Refractory ramming mass is produced from high alumina based refractory aggregate using ramming method and suitable for all kinds of metal types.

  • High refractoriness
  • Good performance to thermal shock
  • Excellent mechanical strength
  • Excellent thermal shock resistance stability
  • Good volume stability at high temperature
  • Excellent erosion resistance
  • Good slag resistance
  • Long service life

Carbon Ramming Mass

Carbon ramming mix is widely used for leveling layer of furnace bottom and fill the gap between carbon bricks and cooling stave.

  • High-density
  • Anti-erosion ability
  • High-strength
  • High melting loss resistance
  • Strong permeability of molten steel resistance

Zirconia Ramming Masses

Zirconia ramming is material produced from zircon as main raw material and widely used in hot repair, bottom sealing and sides wall interval filling of the glass melting furnaces.

  • High strength and refractoriness
  • Good thermal shock resistance
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Small thermal expansion
  • Resistant to erosion
  • High load softening point
  • Can be dried fastly for ramming application

Magnesite Ramming Mass

Magnesite ramming mass is produced from magnesite refractory raw materials and used for the cold and hot repair of stainless steel, high manganese steel, high alloy steel, carbon steel furnaces, medium & small size ladles.

  • High refractoriness
  • Strong anti-permeability
  • Excellent mechanical strength
  • Good performance to thermal shock
  • Good resistance to corrosion
  • Long service life

Silica Ramming Mass

Silica ramming mass is the main refractory for the medium frequency induction furnaces that reduces the cost of steel foundry, improves the charge rate and reduces the consumption of the alloy.

  • High refractoriness
  • Thermal shock resistance
  • Strong wear-resisting
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Long life cycle
